tree tops and clouds on Flickr.
This is something I found in my catalogue while cleaning it out to clear some disk space. I am not sure where I took it but the clouds are great.

I’m South African ;) knowign what a Protea is comes with the terriorty.
(With a tip of the hat to thestudentofcoffee, who reminded me of the passage)
It’d be nice if this hit 100,000 notes before the Discworld convention in August, as I don’t think Terry’s seen it yet, and I’d like to show it to him then. Just saying…
I never reblog things but I’ll make an exception this once if only for Terry in the hopes it will add a little happiness to the world of a man who has added so much of it to mine.
dairy farm in the afternoon on Flickr.
HDR landscape again. This time in the KwaZulu-Natal midlands. I took this as the cows were heading in to be milked (I think, I’m a city boy after all)
afternoon sunbathing on Flickr.
this agama got caught by one of my cats, rescued and put outside in the sun to recover. I came back later to find it warming itself in the late afternoon sun.
Early morning in the underberg on Flickr.having a go at HDR landscapes again. I always feel slightly disappointed in them. I think more practice might be required.
Reflections of the Cretaceous on Flickr.
Crocodilians first showed up in the late Cretacious period, thus the name. This guy was just hanging out in his shady pool watching the world go by. I could maybe have given him a little space in front and maybe tried for a slightly better composition but i was already getting dirty looks from the family for holding up their progress.
Aston Martin DB9 on Flickr.
This is a car model which I tried to shoot to look like a real one. Things I’ve learnt from this:
- the more realistic the model the better the illusion.
- look at more car photos before doing this to get an idea how they’re lit.
- dust the car before your final shot.
